The craft behind the piece
In the La Alacena de la abuela workshop in Cazorla (Jaén), each canine is worked individually to fit its smooth 925 sterling silver cap. The piece is assembled with a small jump ring that lets the canine move beneath the top ball. It is finished with a push fastening and butterfly back.
The natural shape of the canine guides each setting: its outline, width and tone change slightly from one piece to the next. This individual work preserves the look of the material instead of making every piece uniform.
