These bullet casing earrings in sterling silver turn the metal base of a cartridge into a small piece of jewellery. The casing keeps its golden tone and original markings, contrasting with the silvery shine of the lever-back fitting.
The craft behind the piece
These earrings are handmade in Cazorla, with the round head of a bullet casing as the star feature. Each casing is attached with a small jump ring to a sterling silver lever-back fitting, which bears the 925 hallmark.
The result combines two very different metal finishes: the golden tone and markings of the casing against the bright finish of the silver. The markings visible on the base are kept as part of the design and make the origin of the upcycled element instantly recognisable.
