A red deer canine pendant in 925 sterling silver that puts the natural shape of the tooth centre stage, finished with a granulated cap and a fine silver chain. A handmade piece selected for our jewellery and accessories collection.
The craft behind the piece
The setting brings together very different materials: the natural canine, the granulated silver cap and the chain. The jump rings are closed with jewellery pliers to join the parts and let the pendant hang freely. The silver finish is checked and polished before final assembly.

Wearing a deer canine as an ornament goes back long before modern jewellery. Archaeological specimens of Cervus elaphus show that these teeth were pierced to be worn as pendants during the Upper Palaeolithic. Here that natural shape remains the star, paired with sterling silver in a piece made to be worn today.
