Oval esparto basket with handle

A basket of the kind once used in the countryside for harvesting, with its oval shape and tall esparto handle. This oval esparto basket is braided and sewn by hand and is good for almost anything: fruit, vegetables from the garden, bread or as a decorative kitchen basket.

There are two sizes: 40 cm (40 × 25 × 15 cm) and 50 cm (50 × 30 × 20 cm), both with about 20 cm of handle. More models among our esparto baskets.

Handmade by artisans from Jaén

Esparto is one of the fibres most closely tied to rural life in Jaén and southern Spain. This piece comes from an artisan workshop in the province, where it is braided and sewn by hand, strand by strand. From cazorla.online, the craft shop from Cazorla, we send it to you just as it leaves the workshop.
