Esparto crafts

1 producto

Esparto grass is a plant fibre that has been plaited by hand in southern Spain for centuries to make baskets, panniers and farm tools. Here we bring together handmade esparto pieces for the home and garden: baskets and bags, lamps, decorative donkeys, planters, chairs, bottle holders and magazine racks.

Esparto grass

A time-honoured craft for today’s home

Esparto grass is gathered, cured and plaited by hand, just as it has always been done in the south. It becomes market baskets, lamps that fill a room with warm light, donkeys, chairs and planters that give character to any corner.

  • From artisan workshops. Every piece comes from the hands of craftspeople who work esparto the traditional way.
  • No two are alike. Small differences in colour, size or finish are part of the character of handmade work.
  • Carefully packed to your door. We prepare every order with care so it arrives in good condition.
